The Educational Technology Major is an interdisciplinary major established in response to the national strategy for educational digitalisation, promoting the deep integration of technology and education. It is built on the theoretical foundations of education and psychology, employs computer science and information technology as its implementation tools, and takes learning sciences and instructional design as its core application areas. The major emphasises the organic integration of educational theory, information technology competence and practical teaching skills, and demands a particularly high level of logical thinking and innovative design ability. It is ideally suited to students with an interest in information technology education, smart education, digital resource development and the application of artificial intelligence in education, who aspire to pursue careers in information technology teaching and the research and development of educational digital products. The major is currently designated as a National First-class Undergraduate Major, and is authorised to confer Master's degrees in Educational Technology and Modern Educational Technology. It offers high-quality teaching resources, including the national first-class course "Digital Film and Television Directing and Production", and holds significant influence in teacher education both regionally and nationally.
