International lecturers from the Stirling Digital Education College (SDEC) completed a campus orientation tour on 2 September 2026, led by Ren Yuhong, Head of Student Affairs at the University. The visit was designed to help new international academic staff familiarise themselves with campus facilities and prepare for the start of the autumn semester. Zhao Xiaocong, Head of the Foreign Experts Section at the Office of International Cooperation, accompanied the group.
During the tour, Ms Ren held detailed discussions with the three lecturers, outlining the University’s educational philosophy, teaching schedules and campus management policies. The group visited key sites including teaching buildings, specialist practical training laboratories and international staff accommodation, reviewing each facility’s functions, equipment, operating procedures and residential support services. At the end of the visit, the lecturers met informally with new SDEC students, experiencing first-hand the positive and motivated academic atmosphere of the student body.
This activity has established an effective communication channel between the University and its international academic staff, helping colleagues gain a comprehensive understanding of the working, learning and living environment on campus. It provides solid support for them to begin their teaching duties and deliver high-quality international education this semester. The University will continue to improve support services for international staff, establish regular staff-student exchange programmes and further promote Sino-foreign academic collaboration, with the aim of strengthening the quality of its internationalised education and interdisciplinary talent development.
